APEX FIT GUIDE: MEASURING FOR MISSION READINESS
Don't guess the size—measure for success. Proper fit ensures your K9 has a full range of motion and prevents the gear from rubbing or shifting during high-intensity activity.
The Three Essential Measurements:
-
NECK (The Base): Measure around the base of the neck, where it meets the shoulders. This is lower than where a standard collar sits.
-
CHEST GIRTH (The Power): Measure around the widest part of your dog’s ribcage, typically 2-3 inches behind the front legs. This is the most critical measurement for the V1 Harness.
-
BACK LENGTH (The Coverage): Measure from the base of the neck (between the shoulder blades) to the base of the tail.
PRO-TIP: Use the "Two-Finger Rule." You should be able to fit two fingers snugly between the gear and your dog. If your K9 is between sizes, always go with the larger size for comfort and adjustability.
